Quarantine Diaries: Day 11-12

I'm combining days again because truly, Day 11 only had one memorable moment, and that was the absolute NEED for a bagel.

It was a rainy day, and Maya and I both agreed we just NEEDED a good bagel to have a good day. Luckily, a bagel shop was open just down the street from us, so we jumped out of bed and headed straight there.

We each got two bagels; one for now, and one for later. We each got one cinnamon raisin bagel and one rainbow bagel, all with various cream cheeses.

I decided to eat my rainbow bagel, which I purchased with cinnamon raisin cream cheese...ya know, to mix things up. There was JUST the right amount of spice in the cream cheese to add flavor, and the bagel was JUST the right amount of fluffy and chewy. Words cannot describe how good a NY bagel is...especially when you're from a place that just can't quite get bagels right.

I mean...yes. Just yes.

The rest of the day was VERY chill...so onto Day 12!

We woke up, ate breakfast, and headed to SoHo to walk around and pop into some stores.

We stopped by Washington Square Park, where we took some pics, admired the fountain, and people watched.

viewz from Washington Square Park!

In SoHo, we stopped by KITH, Billionaire Boy's Club, and Palace; all pretty big, bougie brands. Adika, Brandy Melville, and a few other smaller (and cheaper) stores were on the agenda too, finished off with Ladurée...a fancy macaron store!

Shops in SoHo

At Ladurée, we each got four Macarons, all in various flavors. I chose to step outside my comfort zone slightly and ordered Rose, Raspberry, Coffee, and Salted Caramel. The raspberry was extra tart and the Coffee was extra strong; macarons that are equal parts flavorful and colorful are elite.

Macarons!

We then began the long trek home, as it started to rain. Upon arrival to the hotel, we immediately showered, made food, and hopped on a meeting, where I gave a presentation regarding wellness and hygiene during the school year!

The rest of the evening was spent watching the office and making popcorn...per usual.

We're coming to the end of our quarantine...at long last! Just two more days to go!
