Today involved QUITE a bit of walking, and QUITE a bit of adventuring!
The New York Historical Society put on a free exhibition called "Hope Wanted: New York City under Quarantine." They depicted the state of each area in NYC facing the impact of COVID-19 through pictures and audio recordings. Hearing the stories of real people and looking at the empty streets of NYC was truly eye opening; it was a nice reminder that we are living through some serious history right now.
We sat around Central Park for a while, and then decided that since it was so hot outside, we needed something refreshing to cool down. We popped into a Starbucks and then sat on the steps of the Met to people watch. It was nice to spend so much time outside and in a pretty area!
We had a LONG trek home, so we walked through most of Central Park to make it more ~scenic~. We stopped by a swamp that was filled with turtles, GIANT fish, and...rats. Gross but NYC in a nutshell.

Our trek home involved walking through Times Square, and it was the EMPTIEST I have ever seen it. Almost eerie in a way.

I once again made pasta for dinner (noticing a pattern here?), and we spent the evening CLEANING (which was extremely necessary), eating ice cream, and watching "The Emperor's New Groove." Another day for the books!
